A long line of local family history and legal traditions inspired Fishburne Law Office's first location in Walterboro, South Carolina. My office is steps from the historic courthouse in Colleton County and in the same building where my great-grandfather (S.C. Associate Supreme Court Justice E.L. Fishburne) practiced prior to his appointment to the bench in 1935. I handle statewide cases with a geographic focus in South Carolina's Lowcountry.
Following law school, I clerked for two trial court judges in Charleston, South Carolina drafting court orders for cases pending in probate court and circuit court. This experience provided invaluable exposure to effective trial court practice, legal writing, and judicial decision making.
I then enjoyed seven years of practice at a respected Charleston area insurance litigation defense firm handling a diverse commercial practice generally focusing on construction claims, community association (HOA/HPR) claims, personal injury, insurance coverage, and appellate practice.
My prior insurance defense practice connected me to the local legal community and gave me insight into insurance claims handling that benefits my current clients.
